It was a real privilege for Angela to address 200 pupils in the Sixth Form at George Abbot School and talk a bit about the work that I do as their Member of Parliament.
She spoke to them about how the work she does is relevant and how it affects their lives now and in the future. She talked about her own background as an immigrant to this country and about how politics is a field open to everyone with the tenacity and commitment to get there.
The pupils showed themselves to be informed in the questions they asked me afterwards; from the Online Safety Bill, to whether Matt Hancock should have gone into the jungle and questions around private education.
Thank you to the school for hosting Angela and to the pupils of the Sixth Form for being a respectful and thoughtful audience.
