
Angela visited UK Power Networks at Woodbridge Road to hear about the investment they are making in Guildford’s power infrastructure.
Following on from her visit to the North Street regeneration offices earlier in the week, it is clear that providing sufficient power will be a key plank of ensuring that any development remains viable and sustainable in the future. That is equally true of all proposed housing schemes across the constituency.
Angela said: "The £7.3million investment by UKPN in new, efficient electrical equipment and more advanced hardware is part of that sustainability. A further £3million is planned to be invested before 2024 so it is good to know that this part of our infrastructure is being upgraded.
"On behalf of Alfold residents I asked UKPN to investigate the cause of regular flickering of lights experienced by some residents. I will provide a further update when they come back to me."
