Angela whizzed back to Guildford on the train this week to support Guildford Philanthropy in the Guildhall on the High Street at an event with their corporate ambassadors.
Since 2014, Guildford Philanthropy has managed to raise over one million pounds to help those who need it most.
During lockdown, the group helped with food parcels and digital devices for children so they could access education and Angela was pleased to be able to meet with Peter Cluff and Matt Gaskin to discuss obtaining laptops at speed in Spring 2020.
Angela said: "The work Guildford Philanthropy do is so vital; parts of Guildford are some of the worst in the country on an index of relative poverty to their near neighbours. This is known as double deprivation. It's why I will keep asking for funding for Guildford.
"If businesses in Guildford can sign up to help support, that would be amazing.
"This is how we help level up access to education and opportunity right here in Guildford through supporting each other."
Please contact Guildford Philanthropy if you can get involved.
