Mental Health Awareness Week is an opportunity to remind ourselves that it is okay not to be okay. So many of us struggle to deal with the pressures of modern life, the worries of the world we live in and we think we have to be silent to be strong.
It doesn't and shouldn't have to be that way. Don't suffer in silence and if you know someone who is suffering in silence, try to convince them not to either. There is help out there - confidential, non-judgemental and effective help that can make things easier.
Mental health is a complex issues and this year the theme is loneliness and the impact it can have on people, especially later in life. The NHS link below can help people to deal with this and many other issues.
