Angela spoke in Parliament on Wednesday 8 September on the proposals to invest an extra £12bn a year over the next three years into the NHS and social care.
This is an issue that we cannot ignore, with a backlog of 300,000 patients waiting for non-urgent treatment. Many people in Guildford, Cranleigh and our villages have been concerned about how this problem would be fixed.
Angela knows that others will have views on how the money is to be raised. But she believes we need solutions to address the problem quickly.
The Prime Minister assured Angela in the Commons that this money will go to patient care, not middle management; that it would be spent alongside the reform needed to make the most of it.
She supported the government and the Prime Minister on that basis - that our NHS, its amazing staff and the many thousands of patients who rely upon its care will be the beneficiaries of this massive public investment.
