Angela had the opportunity to question Michelle Donelan MP, the Universities Minister, about what the Department for Education can do to support students who are affected by mental health conditions.
During the pandemic, young people have been hit disproportionately as much of what should have been among the best time of their lives turned into some of the most restricted and isolated time, as well as anxious time whether about their futures or families.
Angela said: "The government's decision to continue Student Minds post-pandemic is a really welcome one as is the appointment of a Student Support Champion. It is really important that we give young people the best start in higher education and help them when things aren't working for them both academically and in their wider wellbeing."
