Angela joined Higher Education Minister Michelle Donelan for a visit to the University of Surrey this week.
Starting their tour by talking to students the Surrey Hive and holding a sit-down discussion on the issues facing the student population in Guildford, they moved on to viewing more of the university's student facilities before being shown a lab experiment.
Angela talked to a number of the students during the experiment to find out more about where they hoped to move onto after university and the jobs market.
Angela and the minister then held discussions with University Vice-Chancellor Prof Max Lu, where they heard about wider issues facing higher education.
"There are really exciting things happening here in Guildford, including a net zero commitment by 2030" said Angela. "The university has excellence in so many hi-tech and STEM teaching and research areas as well as the arts - it’s a vital part of our community and economy and it was a great pleasure to visit the Stag Hill campus with the minister."
