Angela enjoyed visiting the future site of the Surrey Maths School to see the state-of-the-art plans and hear from students who have studied at maths schools.
Before the event, she met with Jack Mayhew, CEO of Learning Partners Academy Trust, to discuss how the school was progressing and some of the wider strengths and challenges for the education sector in Guildford.
Guildford has a proud record of educational excellence an government funding is going into our area and into the students of the future. Andrew Roach, Director of Education at the Trust, “this is a building with tomorrow inside”.
High-class educational institutions, including the Learning Partners schools and the University of Surrey, are working together to achieve academic success; a model for Guildford to be proud of.
Angela looks forward to seeing the project progress under the inspiring co-headteachers Sahar and Nora. Surrey Maths School, the only one in the south east of England, is planned to open to students in Autumn next year.
