The government has announced a raft of extra funding across the Guildford constituency as part of its Shared Prosperity Fund.
The fund has been put together to level up people’s pride in the places they love and to see that reflected back in empowered local leaders and communities, a stronger social fabric and better life chances.
Guildford Borough has received £1m for projects that enhance these objectives and outcomes, as has Waverley Borough. Surrey County Council has received an additional £4.77m.
Angela Richardson said: "I will be taking an interest in the local projects that this money is used to fund and I look forward to working with local leaders on seeing them realised."
