It was lovely to visit and speak to Politics Sixth Form students at Guildford County School.
I was pleased to discuss with the students what motivated me to become a Member of Parliament, the experiences I have serving local communities, and the things that I am doing to represent Guildford residents. I also had the opportunity to answer variety of questions from the students.
Thank you to all those who attended and for the wonderful range of questions. I hope you found this interesting and that my visit gave you some useful insights into what it is like to work in politics.
During my visit, I enjoyed my discussions with Steve Smith, the Headteacher. It was fantastic to learn about the school’s important principles and that so many students are thriving.
I am proud of all the work that the incredible members of staff are doing to help students succeed and celebrate success at this wonderful school.
Thank you for having me.
