Angela Richardson visited Cranleigh School on Friday (25 February) to discuss the Online Safety Bill currently going through Parliament.
Young people have a unique perspective on these issues and Angela was grateful to have the opportunity to talk with Lucy and Max.
Angela said: "This is a very serious issue and I am more than happy to take up some of the points they raised with ministers.
"The way that children and young people use social media is changing all the time and keeping them safe online needs to take account of this.
"After a meeting with the headmaster, I spent time with school teaching staff talking about what guidance they received on teaching PSHE.
"It is essential that this guidance ensures that really important topics like sex and relationships are taught consistently and effectively across all schools."
